With planting season right around the corner, have your customers locked in their program approach to control tough weeds? A complete program approach is needed on every acre of crops with the Enlist trait, including Enlist E3® soybeans, for best weed management. Whether your customers need an extra push on adopting a residual or are having trouble with tough weeds like waterhemp or pigweed, we have expert tips and resources for you.

By incorporating a program approach, your customers can stay on top of weeds all season long and help prevent herbicide resistance. Start with a quality preemergence soil residual herbicide.  On crops with the Enlist trait, make a timely postemergence spray of Enlist herbicides, including additional sites of action postemergence with other qualified tank-mix products. Consider a layered residual herbicide to keep weeds down until the canopy closes.

Shawna Hubbard, Corteva Agriscience trait herbicide product manager, explains the value of a program approach and discusses preferred residual herbicides on acres of Enlist E3 soybeans.

DuPont EverpreX® herbicide is the preferred post-residual tank-mix partner of the Enlist weed control system. It provides reliable control of both grasses and broadleaves and can be tank-mixed with both Enlist One® and Enlist Duo® herbicides. Pigweed and waterhemp are challenging to control, which is why using a program approach with layered residuals such as EverpreX herbicide is critical.

Haley Nabors, Corteva Agriscience market development specialist, explains why preemergence herbicides, multiple sites of action postemergence and timely applications offer the best opportunities to control these difficult weeds.
