Instead of using petroleum distillates, Turflon® Ester Ultra specialty herbicide uses plant-derived methylated seed oil (MSO) as the solvent, reducing the environmental impact and product odor.

Turflon Ester Ultra can be tank-mixed with labeled three-way herbicides for even more superior control of most summertime, hard-to-control weeds including oxalis, ground ivy and wild violet.

Control of invasive grasses

Turflon Ester Ultra is used to control or suppress invasive bermudagrass or kikuyugrass in cool-season turf. Additionally, it suppresses bermudagrass prior to fall overseeding with perennial ryegrass in warm-season turf.

  • Application Rate

    For broadcast treatments, apply 1/2 to 1 quart of Turflon® Ester Ultra specialty herbicide per acre in enough water to control broadleaf weeds actively growing in perennial bluegrass, perennial ryegrass or tall fescue. For control of kikuyugrass, apply ½ to 1 quart per acre. For control of bermudagrass, apply 1 quart per acre.

  • Application Timing

    For control of broadleaf weeds, apply Turflon Ester Ultra when weeds are actively growing in early spring or fall. 

  • Application Method

    Apply using equipment that assures uniform coverage of the target area. When treating mature plants or hard-to-control weeds or for applications made during drought conditions, use the higher rates of Turflon Ester Ultra. Can be tank mixed with other products to broaden the spectrum of control.

  • Approved Use

    Turflon Ester Ultra is labeled for use on actively growing annual and perennial broadleaf weeds. As well as kikuyugrass in perennial bluegrass, perennial ryregrass, or tall fescue ornamental turf including these turfgrasses in sod farms and golf courses.

  • Additional Information

    Turflon Ester Ultra offers broad-spectrum, postemergence control of hand-to-control weeds like ground ivy and wild violet. Turflon Ester Ultra is available a 1-gallon bottle.
